Baked Cheese Prawns image

600 g large shrimp
40 g breadcrumbs
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1 tablespoon butter

Steps:

  • Shell prawns and devein.
  • Split prawns lengthwise from underside.
  • Wash and pat dry.
  • Season prawns with salt, sugar and pepper.
  • Mix breadcrumbs and cheese.
  • Coat prawns with egg then with the breadcrumb and cheese mixture.
  • Place prawns in dish, spreading split prawns lengthwise.
  • Brush with butter.
  • Bake at 400°F for 15mins.
