Baked Salisbury Steak image

These patties are so good , I serve them with mashed potatoes and use the sauce as the gravy.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 egg ; lightly beaten
1/2 c quick cooking oats
1/2 c chopped green pepper
1/2 c chopped celery
1/2 c chopped onion
1/4 tsp salt & pepper
1 lb ground beef
3/4 can(s) cream of mushroom soup ; undiluted
1/2 c water

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl combine : egg , oats , green pepper , onion and salt.
  • 2. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.
  • 3. Shape beef mixture into 4 oval patties.
  • 4. In a large skillet brown patties on both sides.
  • 5. Place patties in an un-greased 8x8 baking dish.
  • 6. Combine soup , water and pepper ; pour over top of beef ; cover.
  • 7. Bake @ 350 deg. for 30-35 minutes.
