This is my favorite chocolate cake. No fuss, no mess and very moist. Back in the early days when it was paycheck to paycheck, this simple dessert made it into his lunchbox many a day because it was cheap and simple. No eggs, no milk.

Tips:

  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan: This will help distribute heat evenly and prevent the fudge from scorching.
  • Don't overcook the fudge: The fudge is done when it reaches 235 degrees Fahrenheit (113 degrees Celsius) on a candy thermometer. If you overcook it, the fudge will become grainy and hard.
  • Let the fudge cool completely before cutting it: This will help the fudge to set and firm up.
  • Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature: The fudge will keep for up to two weeks.
  • You can add different flavors to the fudge: Such as chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, or peppermint extract.
  • You can also decorate the fudge with sprinkles, chopped nuts, or edible glitter: Get creative and have fun!

Conclusion:

Making one-pan fudge cake is an easy and delicious way to satisfy your sweet tooth. With just a few simple ingredients and minimal effort, you can create a rich and decadent dessert that the whole family will love. So next time you're craving something sweet, give this one-pan fudge cake recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
