JUICIEST HAMBURGERS EVER
No more dry, lackluster burgers. These are juicy, and spices can be easily added or changed to suit anyone's taste. Baste frequently with your favorite barbeque sauce. If you find the meat mixture too mushy, just add more bread crumbs until it forms patties that hold their shape.

Steps:
- Divide the meat into 4 equal portions (about 6 ounces each). Form each portion loosely into a 3/4-inch-thick burger and make a deep depression in the center with your thumb. Season both sides of each burger with salt and pepper.
- IF USING A GRILL: Heat a gas grill to high or heat coals in a charcoal grill until they glow bright orange and ash over. Brush the burgers with the oil. Grill the burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the first side, about 3 minutes for beef and 5 minutes for turkey. Flip over the burgers. Cook beef burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the second side, 4 minutes for medium rare (3 minutes if topping with cheese; see step 3) or until cooked to desired degree of doneness. Cook turkey burgers until cooked throughout, about 5 minutes on the second side.
- IF USING A GRILL PAN: Heat a grill pan over high heat on top of the stove. Cook the burgers as for a grill, above.
- IF USING A SAUTE PAN OR GRIDDLE (PREFERABLY CAST IRON): Heat the oil in the pan or griddle over high heat until the oil begins to shimmer. Cook the burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the first side, about 3 minutes for beef and 5 minutes for turkey. Flip over the burgers. Cook beef burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the second side, 4 minutes for medium rare (3 minutes if topping with cheese) or until cooked to desired degree of doneness. Cook turkey burgers until cooked throughout, about 5 minutes on the second side.
- Add the cheese, if using, to the tops of the burgers during the last minute of cooking and top with a basting cover, close the grill cover, or tent the burgers with aluminum foil to melt the cheese.
- Sandwich the hot burgers between the buns and serve immediately.

JUICY LUCY BURGERS
A favorite of Minnesotans! The famous Juicy Lucy! Mmmm. So good. You MUST use American cheese on this to achieve the juiciness in the middle! I like sauteed mushrooms and onions on mine!

Steps:
- Combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and pepper in a large bowl; mix well. Form 8, thin patties from the beef. Each patty should be slightly larger than a slice of cheese.
- Cut each slice of American cheese into 4 equal pieces; stack the pieces. Sandwich one stack of cheese between 2 ground beef patties. Tightly pinch edges together tightly seal the cheese within the meat. Repeat with the remaining cheese and patties.
- Preheat a cast-iron or other heavy bottomed skillet over medium heat. Cook burgers until well browned, about 4 minutes. It is common for burgers to puff up due to steam from the melting cheese. Turn burgers and prick the top of each to allow steam to escape; cook until browned on the outside and no longer pink on the inside; about 4 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.

DAD'S HALF-HAMBURGERS
A Ground beef mixture that is spread on both halves of a hamburger bun, broiled, and served open faced. Half Hamburgers come from my childrens' Dad's family. It's a mixture of all the things you'd probably put in/on a hamburger, spread on the halves of the hamburger buns. It's so easy that kids can make it, although they'll need adult help with the broiling. Men love it too, so it would be great for a poker game or Superbowl party. Get "moosh-ing" and enjoy!

Steps:
- Mix the ingredients in a bowl; "moosh" by hand - clean hands, if you please - until spreadable.
- Spread mixture hamburger buns; both bottoms and tops.
- Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Broil on second rack of oven for 3 - 5 minutes.
- Check center with small knife for doneness.
- Times may vary slightly from oven to oven.
Tips:
- Use fresh, high-quality beef. The better the beef, the better the burger will be.
- Grind your own beef if possible. This will give you more control over the quality and texture of the meat.
- Season the beef generously with salt and pepper. This will help to enhance the flavor of the meat.
- Don't overwork the meat. Overworking the meat will make the burgers tough.
- Form the burgers into patties that are about 1/2 pound each.
- Make a well in the center of each patty. This will help the burgers to cook evenly.
- Cook the burgers over medium-high heat until they are cooked to your desired doneness.
- Let the burgers rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
Conclusion:
These juicy half-pound hamburgers are the perfect way to satisfy your burger craving. They're made with fresh, high-quality beef and seasoned to perfection. Plus, they're cooked to your desired doneness. So whether you like your burgers rare, medium, or well-done, you're sure to enjoy these delicious burgers.
