Tips:

  • If you don't have a rolling pin, you can use a wine bottle or even a glass to roll out the dough.
  • To make sure the dough doesn't stick to the rolling pin, sprinkle some flour on the surface before rolling.
  • If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour until it's smooth and elastic.
  • If the dough is too dry, add a little water until it comes together.
  • Be careful not to overwork the dough, or it will become tough.
  • When you're transferring the dough to the pie plate, be sure to fold it in half and then unfold it. This will help to prevent the dough from tearing.
  • To prevent the edges of the pie crust from browning too much, brush them with some milk or egg wash before baking.
  • For a golden brown crust, bake the pie in a preheated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
