AIR FRYER LOADED GREEK FRIES

Air Fryer Loaded Greek Fries image

Air-fried french fries loaded with Greek flavors. These are great on their own but also pair nicely with lamb, steak, or chicken. Cheese is a must for loaded fries but since feta doesn't melt, I incorporated it into the tzatziki sauce.

Tips:

  • Choosing the Right Type of Potato: Select starchy potatoes like Russet or Yukon Gold, which hold their shape well during air frying and become crispy on the outside while remaining fluffy on the inside.
  • Cutting the Potatoes: Cut the potatoes into even-sized wedges or fries to ensure uniform cooking. Thinner wedges or fries will crisp up more quickly, while thicker ones may need a bit more time.
  • Soaking the Potatoes: Soaking the potato wedges or fries in cold water for 15-30 minutes helps remove excess starch, resulting in crispier fries. Make sure to pat them dry thoroughly before tossing them with the seasonings.
  • Seasoning the Fries: Use a combination of herbs, spices, and seasonings to add flavor to the fries. Popular options include garlic powder, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. You can also drizzle the fries with olive oil or cooking spray to help the seasonings adhere.
  • Cooking the Fries: Preheat your air fryer to the desired temperature, usually around 400°F (200°C). Arrange the seasoned fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook the fries for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  • Adding the Toppings: Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the air fryer and immediately top them with your favorite ingredients. Common toppings include crumbled feta cheese, diced tomatoes, Kalamata olives, red onion, and a drizzle of tzatziki sauce.

Conclusion:

Enjoy delicious and crispy air fryer loaded Greek fries that are a perfect blend of flavors and texturas. With a few simple steps and the right ingredients, you can create this mouthwatering dish in your own kitchen. Experiment with different seasonings and toppings to customize the fries to your liking. Whether you're hosting a party or looking for a quick and satisfying meal, these air fryer loaded Greek fries are sure to impress your family and friends.
