Steps:
- Grease and line your loaf tin, and preheat the oven to 170C/fan 150C/gas 5.
- Use a cup to measure the ingredients (I use my small measuring jug featured in the photograph.)
- Pour the All bran and milk into a bowl. Leave the All Bran to soak up the milk (about 5-10 mins.)
- Add the self raising flour and sugar to your mixture and stir.
- Cut up your dried fruit (if using prunes and apricots) and dust with some of the self raising flour. Add the fruit to your mixture and stir.
- The mixture should be thick and gloopy, if it isn't you may wish to add a bit more milk. Transfer the mixture to your loaf tin and put in the oven for 1 hr -1 hr 30 mins. Check on the loaf after 1 hr by putting a knife through the middle, if it comes out clean the loaf is cooked, if not leave it in a little longer.

ALL-BRAN MUFFINS OR BREAD
This is a easy, fairly healthy and delicious bran muffin/bread recipe. I started with a recipe from the Philadelphia Orchestra Cookbook and changed it little by little. It was submitted originally by a lady from Scotland. I now use Splenda Brown Sugar Blend with this, instead of regular brown sugar.

Tips:
- Properly measure ingredients: Use accurate measuring cups and spoons to ensure the correct proportions of ingredients.
- Use fresh baking powder and baking soda: Old baking agents may not work as effectively, resulting in a dense or flat loaf.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can develop the gluten in the flour, making the loaf tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Use a loaf pan that's the right size: The batter should fill the pan about 2/3 full. Too much batter can cause the loaf to overflow, while too little batter can result in a thin, dry loaf.
- Bake the loaf at the correct temperature: Follow the recipe's instructions for the baking temperature and time. Underbaking can result in a raw or doughy loaf, while overbaking can make it dry and crumbly.
- Let the loaf cool before slicing: Allow the loaf to cool completely before slicing, as this will help it hold its shape and prevent it from crumbling.
Conclusion:
All-bran loaf is a delicious and nutritious bread that is easy to make at home. With a few simple tips and tricks, you can create a perfect all-bran loaf that is moist, flavorful, and packed with healthy ingredients. Enjoy it as a healthy breakfast option, a snack, or a side dish with your favorite meals.
