ALMOND BUTTER CRUNCH CANDY

Almond Butter Crunch Candy image

This is a yummy candy that I make each year to put in amongst (if that is a word) my cookies on the trays. It came from a Better Homes & Garden Candy Cookbook back in the '60s. It is one that is easy to make and comes out great every time. It is very tasty and has a great crunch if you are sure to bring it to the hard crack stage.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality almond butter: The almond butter you use will make a big difference in the final flavor of your Almond Butter Crunch. Look for a creamy, natural almond butter that is made with roasted almonds.
  • Don't overcook the sugar: When you are making the sugar syrup, it is important to watch it carefully and not let it overcook. Otherwise, your Almond Butter Crunch will be too hard.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed pan: A heavy-bottomed pan will help to evenly distribute the heat and prevent the sugar from burning.
  • Stir constantly: When you are making the sugar syrup, be sure to stir it constantly so that it doesn't crystallize.
  • Work quickly: Once you have added the almond butter and vanilla to the sugar syrup, you need to work quickly to spread it out on the parchment paper. Otherwise, it will start to harden.
  • Let it cool completely: Once you have spread the Almond Butter Crunch out on the parchment paper, let it cool completely before breaking it into pieces.

Conclusion:

Almond Butter Crunch is a delicious and easy-to-make candy that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover almond butter, and it is also a fun and festive treat to share with friends and family.
