6 slices swiss cheese
1 egg
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cup fine dry breadcrumb
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Stir egg and 1 tablespoons water together with a fork.

Tips:

  • To achieve the best flavor, use high-quality rum. Dark rum is a popular choice, but you can also use light rum or spiced rum, depending on your preference.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different spices. Allspice, nutmeg, and cinnamon are all great additions to rum chicken.
  • If you don't have time to marinate the chicken, you can skip this step. However, marinating the chicken will help to infuse it with flavor.
  • Cook the chicken over medium heat. This will help to prevent it from burning.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the chicken is cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve the rum chicken with your favorite sides. Rice, roasted vegetables, and mashed potatoes are all great options.
