1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
1 package (3 ounces) lemon gelatin
1 cup sugar
1-1/3 cups boiling water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1-3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
5 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps:

  • Pour milk into a small metal bowl; place mixer beaters in the bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. , Meanwhile, in a large bowl, dissolve gelatin and sugar in boiling water. Stir in lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate until syrupy, about 1-1/2 hours. , In a small bowl, combine crumbs and butter; set aside 2 tablespoons for garnish. ¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup milk

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening and brown sugar. Stir in the vanilla. Combine the whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Cover and chill dough until firm.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into rectangles. Place 1/2 inch apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.

2/3 cup milk
1 (1 ounce) package unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
2 egg whites
1 cup cream, whipped
3 tablespoons butter

  • beat the egg yolks, sugar and milk.
  • cook until slightly thickened.
  • soak gelatin in cold water, pour over hot mixture.and stir.

1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 ounce unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
2 large egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons butter, melted
3 tablespoons sugar
12 graham crackers, crushed

Steps:

  • beat egg yolks, and add sugar --
  • add milk and cook in top of double boiler till slightly thickened --
  • soak unflavored gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes --
  • pour hot mixture over softened gelatin --
  • stir till smooth --
  • chill until slightly thickened.add beaten egg whites, vanilla and heavy cream to chilled mixture --
