Tips for Making Amish Sauerkraut Salad:

  • Shred the Cabbage Finely: Shredding the cabbage finely will help it absorb the flavors of the dressing better and make the salad easier to eat.
  • Use a Sharp Knife: When slicing the onion and carrots, use a sharp knife to ensure clean, even slices.
  • Chill the Salad Before Serving: Chilling the salad for at least 30 minutes before serving allows the flavors to meld together and develop.
  • Serve with a Variety of Toppings: To add extra flavor and texture to your Amish sauerkraut salad, serve it with a variety of toppings such as chopped bacon, crumbled cheese, or toasted nuts.
