COPYCAT ITALIAN SALAD DRESSING

Copycat Italian Salad Dressing image

My family prefers the store brand of Italian dressing to any of the name brands. They all pretty much taste the same and have the same ingredients. This is a copycat of their dressing using mostly ingredients from the cabinet most people keep on hand or can find easily. The water makes it stretch a little further for those on a tight budget, but you might also like it without.

ANTONIO'S HOUSE ITALIAN

Antonio's House Italian image

This is my attempt to make a copy cat version of Antonio's House Italian dressing. It's not exactly it, but it's really good if you like sweet dressings with a lot of vinegar.

Provided by renatarahne

Categories     Salad Dressings

Time 2m

Yield 5 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon garlic
1 dash salt

Steps:

  • add all ingredients together in a jar or bottle and shake well.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your salad will taste. Look for crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and flavorful cucumbers.
  • Don't overdress the salad: A little bit of dressing goes a long way. Too much dressing will weigh down the salad and make it soggy.
  • Toss the salad gently: When you toss the salad, be gentle so you don't bruise the lettuce. Use a light touch and toss the salad just until the dressing is evenly distributed.
  • Serve the salad immediately: Salad is best when served immediately after it's made. If you need to make the salad ahead of time, store the dressing and salad separately and toss them together just before serving.
  • Experiment with different ingredients: There are many different ways to make a house salad. Feel free to experiment with different ingredients and dressings until you find a combination that you love.

Conclusion:

Anthony's House Salad with Italian Dressing is a classic salad that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal preferences. With its fresh, crisp ingredients and flavorful dressing, this salad is sure to be a hit.
