Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe apples: This will give your muffins the best flavor and texture.
  • Peel and core your apples before grating them: This will make the grating process easier and prevent the muffins from becoming too dense.
  • Grate your apples using the large holes of a box grater: This will create a coarse grate that will give your muffins a nice texture.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the muffins tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Fill the muffin cups to the top: This will help the muffins rise evenly and prevent them from becoming dry.
  • Bake the muffins at a high temperature for a short time: This will help the muffins rise quickly and develop a golden brown crust.
  • Let the muffins cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack: This will help prevent the muffins from breaking apart.
  • Serve the muffins warm or at room temperature: They're best enjoyed fresh out of the oven, but they can also be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
