APPLE MALLOW YAM BAKE
I found this in an old church cookbook. The only change I made is instead of using a can of yams, I cook 6 yams and use those instead as I prefer fresh over canned yams.

Tips:
- Use fresh apples for the best flavor. Crisp, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well.
- Peel and core the apples before cooking them. This will help them to cook evenly and prevent the skins from toughening.
- Cook the apples until they are soft and tender. This will take about 15-20 minutes over medium heat.
- Add the sugar and spices to taste. Start with a small amount and add more to taste until you reach the desired sweetness and flavor.
- Let the apple filling cool completely before assembling the yum yums. This will help to prevent the filling from leaking out.
- Use a biscuit dough that is easy to roll out and work with. A refrigerated biscuit dough or a homemade biscuit dough both work well.
- Roll out the biscuit dough to a thin sheet. This will help to ensure that the yum yums are light and flaky.
- Cut the biscuit dough into squares or circles. Use a cookie cutter or a sharp knife to cut the dough into the desired shape.
- Place a spoonful of apple filling in the center of each square or circle of biscuit dough. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
- Bake the yum yums in a preheated oven until they are golden brown. This will take about 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the yum yums cool slightly before serving. This will help to prevent the filling from running out.
Conclusion:
Apple Mallow Yum Yums are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion.
