Tips:

  • Choose the right type of apples: Granny Smith apples are a good choice for apple meatloaf because they hold their shape well and have a tart flavor that complements the savory meat.
  • Peel and dice the apples finely: This will help them to distribute evenly throughout the meatloaf and prevent them from becoming too chunky.
  • Use a variety of spices: A combination of savory and sweet spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves, will give the apple meatloaf a complex flavor.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf: Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough. Just mix the ingredients until they are combined.
  • Bake the meatloaf in a loaf pan: This will help to keep it moist and prevent it from falling apart.
  • Let the meatloaf rest before slicing: This will help the juices to redistribute and make the meatloaf easier to slice.
