2 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons cold butter, cubed
1-1/3 cups 2% milk
3/4 to 1 cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
4 cups chopped apples (about 4 medium)
SAUCE:
1-1/2 cups sugar
1-1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk; stir just until moistened (dough will be soft and sticky)., Turn dough onto a floured surface. Roll into an 18x12-in. rectangle. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon to within 1 in. of edges; top with apples. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side; pinch seam to seal. Using a serrated knife, cut into 12 slices. Place in a greased 13x9-in. baking pan, cut side down., In a small saucepan, combine sauce ingredients; bring to a boil, whisking to blend. Cook and stir 3-4 minutes or until thickened. 1/2 pound bacon strips, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1/2 cup chopped red onion
5 medium apples, peeled and finely chopped
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
8 thin-cut boneless pork loin chops (about 3 ounces each)
8 slices Swiss cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp, stirring occasionally. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain on paper towels. Remove drippings, reserving 1 tablespoons for cooking pork chops., In same skillet, heat 1 tablespoon each oil and butter over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir 3-4 minutes or until tender. Add apples and brown sugar; cook and stir 4-5 minutes or until apples are tender. Stir in parsley and bacon; remove from pan. Cool slightly. 1 can apple pie filling
1/3 cup melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut the crusts off your bread and roll each slice flat with a rolling pin. Combine cinnamon and sugar on a small plate. Pour the apple pie filling onto a plate and chop it so the pieces are smaller. Put about 2 tablespoons apple pie filling on each slice of bread and roll up.
