APRICOT DIP

Apricot Dip image

I've been making this for about 6 years now, and I've always been asked to bring it again the next year This is a delicately flavored dip, requiring the crackers to be very mild and not overpowering. Club crackers work best.

Provided by Elizabeth Maxson

Categories     Spreads

Time 2h10m

Number Of Ingredients 4

8 oz cream cheese, softened
4 oz apricot preserves
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 c slivered (sliced thin) almonds

Steps:

  • 1. Mix the first 3 ingredients well and stir in the almonds
  • 2. Mold and chill at least 2 hours
  • 3. Garnish with slivered almonds and serve with Club crackers

Tips:

  • Choose ripe, fragrant apricots for the best flavor.
  • If you don't have fresh apricots, you can use dried apricots. Just soak them in hot water for 15 minutes before using.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar to taste. If you like your dip sweeter, add more sugar. If you prefer a tarter dip, use less sugar.
  • For a creamier dip, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
  • Serve the dip with your favorite crackers, fruit, or vegetables. It's also great as a spread for sandwiches or wraps.

Conclusion:

Apricot dip is a delicious and versatile dip that can be enjoyed as an appetizer, snack, or dessert. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy treat, give apricot dip a try!
