PERFECT ARNOLD PALMER

After a long period of testing, this is the best Arnold Palmer recipe I've come up with. It's all in the technique. Also, if you want to turn this into a Hairy Palmer (a.k.a. Drunken Golfer), add a shot of whiskey/bourbon per cup.

Time 20m

Yield 2 quarts, 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

3/4 cup turbinado sugar
4 -6 meyer lemons, roughly 1 . 5-2 Cups (more if they're small)
7 black tea bags
water

Steps:

  • Put the sugar into a pan with 2-3 cups of water and make it into simple syrup. Turn off the heat.
  • Juice the lemons into serving pitcher.
  • Make the cover the tea bags with 4 cups of water. Wait until it cools.
  • Pour the tea into the lemon juice. Add 1/3 of the simple syrup. Taste it. Keep adding simple syrup to taste.
  • Add water to make 2 quarts.

Tips:

  • Use fresh lemon juice. Fresh lemon juice provides a brighter, more flavorful taste than bottled lemon juice.
  • Chill your ingredients. Chilling your tea and lemonade before mixing them will help create a more refreshing drink.
  • Use a tall glass. A tall glass will allow for plenty of ice and make it easier to stir your drink.
  • Add a garnish. A lemon wedge or a sprig of mint can add a touch of elegance to your drink.
  • Experiment with different ratios. The classic Arnold Palmer is made with equal parts tea and lemonade, but you can adjust the ratio to suit your taste. For a sweeter drink, use more lemonade. For a more tart drink, use more tea.
  • Enjoy your Arnold Palmer! This refreshing drink is perfect for any occasion.

Conclusion:

The Arnold Palmer is a classic summer drink that is easy to make and loved by people of all ages. With its refreshing blend of tea and lemonade, it's the perfect drink to quench your thirst on a hot day or enjoy as a light and flavorful beverage.
