Sloppy Joes Plus Low Salt Seasoning Mix image

From "Make-a-Mix" by Karine Eliason. I purposefully omitted the salt for a healthier version. Could not find green pepper flakes, so I used Spike seasoning as an emergency substitute.

These sloppy joes were a huge disappointment. The sauce was bland and the meat was dry. I would not recommend this recipe.

The sloppy joes were a little too sweet for my taste, but my kids loved them. I would probably cut back on the brown sugar next time.

I've made sloppy joes many times before, but this recipe is by far the best. The sauce is flavorful and tangy, and the meat is tender and juicy. I highly recommend this recipe!
