Yield servings

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/4 teaspoon sugar
Salt
1 cup celery leaves
5 tablespoons honey mustard
5 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/4 cup yellow miso paste
1 1/2 pounds green cabbage, finely shredded
1/2 pound red cabbage, finely shredded
6 large celery ribs, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • 1.In a bowl, combine the vinegar, sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Add the celery leaves; toss to coat. Let stand for 10 minutes. 2.In a bowl, mix the mustard, mayonnaise and miso. Add the cabbages and celery ribs and toss to coat; season with salt. Transfer the slaw to a serving bowl. Top with the celery leaves and serve

Tips:

  • Choose the right cabbage: Use a firm head of cabbage for the best results. Napa cabbage is a good option because it is tender and has a mild flavor.
  • Shred the cabbage thinly: This will help the cabbage absorb the dressing more easily.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: In addition to cabbage, you can add other vegetables to your coleslaw, such as carrots, bell peppers, and cucumbers.
  • Make sure the dressing is well-balanced: The dressing should be a good balance of sweet, sour, and savory. You can adjust the amount of each ingredient to taste.
  • Let the coleslaw chill: After you make the coleslaw, let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will help the flavors to meld together.

Conclusion:

Asian coleslaw is a delicious and refreshing side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With its crunchy texture and flavorful dressing, Asian coleslaw is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
