1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 large onion, chopped
¼ cup hoisin sauce

Steps:

  • Rinse whole lettuce leaves and pat dry, being careful not tear them. Set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef and cooking oil in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease; transfer beef to a bowl. Cook and stir onion in the same skillet used for beef until slightly tender, 5 to 10 minutes. Stir hoisin sauce, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, and chile pepper sauce into onions. 1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup diced yellow onion
1 pound ground chicken

Steps:

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons cold water
12 round rice papers (8 inches)
3 cups broccoli coleslaw mix

  • Place chicken in a 3-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, ketchup, honey, ginger and oil; stir in onion. Pour over chicken. Cook, covered, on low 3-4 hours or until chicken is tender. Remove chicken; shred with 2 forks and refrigerate until assembly., Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth; gradually stir into honey mixture. This is such an excellent recipe for a quick, week night meal. Loads of flavor and something different to have. I printed this off a food blog and now I can't find which blog it was from! I modified the recipe to the tastes of my family, and we all loved it.

16 leaves boston bibb lettuce
1 lb lean ground beef
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 large onion, chopped
2 fresh garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped
1 bunch green onion, chopped
2 teaspoons sesame oil (dark)

Steps:

  • Rinse whole lettuce leaves and pat dry, being careful not tear them. Set aside.
  • In a medium skillet over high heat, brown the ground beef in 1 tablespoon of oil, stirring often and reducing the heat to medium, if necessary. Drain, and set aside to cool. Cook the onion in the same pan, stirring frequently. Add the garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, vinegar, and chile pepper sauce to the onions, and stir. Stir in chopped water chestnuts, green onions, and sesame oil, and continue cooking until the onions just begin to wilt, about 2 minutes.
  • Arrange lettuce leaves around the outer edge of a large serving platter, and pile meat mixture in the center. To serve, allow each person to spoon a portion of the meat into a lettuce leaf. Wrap the lettuce around the meat like a burrito.

1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1 lb ground chicken
1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, chopped

iceberg lettuce leaves or flour tortilla, as needed

Steps:

  • Whisk together water and cornstarch in large mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Stir in teriyaki sauce.
  • Add chicken and water chestnuts.

  • Marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Cook and stir in small batches in hot oil in a wok or large skillet until no longer pink.

1/4 cup lime juice
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 pound beef top sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 medium onion, halved and thinly sliced
1 large green pepper, julienned
1 large sweet red pepper, julienned
4 flour tortillas (8 inches), warmed
2 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese
2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Pour 1/3 cup marinade into a large resealable plastic bag; add the beef. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 1 hour. Add salt and pepper to remaining marinade; cover and refrigerate. , Drain beef and discard marinade. In a large nonstick skillet or wok, lightly oiled, stir-fry beef until no longer pink; remove and keep warm. In the same pan, stir-fry onion and peppers until crisp-tender. Stir in reserved marinade. 1/4 cup pineapple juice
2 tablespoons ginger, fresh, peeled, and finely chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sherry wine
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 lb pork tenderloin, trimmed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup carrot, shredded
1/3 cup mint, fresh and chopped
1/3 cup basil, fresh and chopped
