Number Of Ingredients 15

3 slices torn whole wheat bread
1/4 cup low fat milk

1 finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 small shredded zucchini
1 (20.8 oz) package or chicken ground turkey
1/2 cup shredded fat-free mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
1 large egg

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F. Line a broiler pan with foil and lightly spray the foil with nonstick spray.

1 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup crushed cracker (recommended ( Ritz)
1 teaspoon seasoning salt (recommended ( Lawry's)
2 slices white bread
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

BACON-TACO CHEESEBURGER MEATLOAF

Bacon-Taco Cheeseburger Meatloaf image

This a twist on Paula Deen's recipe. I didn't have enough cheddar cheese, so I added some parmesan and mozzarella. I also did not add the mayonnaise because I thought it would be too mushy. The taco seasoning was added to give a bit of a kick.

Categories     Meat

Time 1h5m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 3/4 lbs ground chuck
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated
4 ounces parmesan cheese, grated
4 ounces mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs, toasted
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 (1 3/4 ounce) package taco seasoning mix, hot and spicy
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
3 slices bacon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Toast bread crumbs.
  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except 3 slices of bacon, mixing well.
  • Press meat mixture into a 9 by 5 by 3-inch loaf pan, or shape into a loaf and place on a rack in a broiler pan. Place 3 slices of bacon on top of meatloaf. Bake for 40 minutes. I used the Flavorwave Oven.

Tips:

  • To ensure evenly cooked meatloaf, preheat the oven to the correct temperature before baking and use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature, which should reach 160°F (70°C) for medium-rare, 165°F (74°C) for medium, or 170°F (77°C) for well-done.
  • For a flavorful and juicy meatloaf, use a combination of ground beef and ground pork, as the pork adds richness and moisture. You can also incorporate other ingredients like bread crumbs, eggs, and seasonings to enhance the taste.
  • To prevent the meatloaf from becoming dry, use a mixture of milk and ketchup or tomato sauce. This will help keep the meatloaf moist and tender during baking.
  • For a crispy and golden brown crust, brush the top of the meatloaf with a mixture of ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce before baking. This glaze will add a delicious caramelized flavor to the meatloaf.
  • To ensure the meatloaf holds its shape during baking, use a loaf pan or a baking dish with high sides. This will prevent the meatloaf from spreading out too much and becoming too thin.
  • To add a smoky flavor to the meatloaf, cook it in a smoker or on a grill. This will infuse the meatloaf with a delicious smoky aroma and flavor.

Conclusion:

The recipes provided in the article offer a variety of options for creating delicious and flavorful bacon cheeseburger meatloaf. Whether you prefer a classic meatloaf recipe or one with a unique twist, these recipes are sure to satisfy your cravings. With careful preparation and attention to detail, you can create a juicy, flavorful, and visually appealing meatloaf that will be a hit at any gathering. So, fire up your oven or grill and get ready to enjoy a delicious bacon cheeseburger meatloaf experience!
