Time 10m

Yield 35

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 (8 ounce) packages PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
½ cup KRAFT THICK 'N SPICY Original Barbecue Sauce
1 (2.52 ounce) package OSCAR MAYER Fully Cooked Bacon, chopped
1 small tomato, chopped
½ cup chopped green peppers
3 green onions, sliced
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Steps:

  • Spread cream cheese onto platter.
  • Drizzle with barbecue sauce.
  • Top with remaining ingredients.

Tips:

  • Choose a sturdy bread bowl: A round loaf of sourdough or French bread works well. Make sure the bowl is big enough to hold all of the dip ingredients comfortably.
  • Use high-quality bacon: Thick-cut bacon is best for this dip. It will provide a smoky, flavorful base for the other ingredients.
  • Cook the bacon until it is crispy: This will help to bring out its flavor and prevent it from becoming soggy in the dip.
  • Use a variety of cheeses: A combination of cheddar, mozzarella, and cream cheese creates a rich and creamy texture for the dip. You can also add other cheeses, such as pepper Jack or blue cheese, to taste.
  • Don't overcook the dip: The dip should be heated through, but not boiling. Overcooking can cause the cheese to separate.
  • Serve the dip immediately: The dip is best when served hot and bubbly. You can garnish it with additional bacon bits, chopped green onions, or parsley.

Conclusion:

Bacon party dip in a bread bowl is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any party or gathering.
