Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together the maple syrup, orange juice, ginger ale, brown sugar and honey. Stir in the juice from the maraschino cherries, and half of the cherries. Score the outer edge of the ham with a sharp knife in a diamond pattern. Cuts should be about 1/4 inch deep. This will allow the ham to soak up the juice.
- Place the ham into an oven bag, and carefully pour the juice mixture over it, keeping all of the juice in the bag. It may look like there is too much juice, but the ham will soak it up while baking. Place the pineapples onto the top of the ham, and secure with toothpicks. Place cherries into the centers of the rings, and secure with toothpicks also. Tie the end of the bag closed with the ties provided, place in a large roasting pan, and cut a few small slits in the top of the oven bag.
- Bake the ham for 2 hours in the preheated oven. The internal temperature should be 160 degrees F (80 degrees C) when done. Be sure not to touch the bone when taking the temperature. Remove ham from bag to a serving plate, and let stand for 10 minutes before carving.

HAM.... HAM IN A CHERRY, COLA AND PINEAPPLE GLAZE
I was thinking of a different way of cooking a ham while at work, you know no peak! So I looked in the frig and cupboard to see what I could come up with as far as a glaze that could be used in a crock pot. I cooked it on a warm temperature for 4-5 hours to release all the water in the ham. Then added the glaze.

- NOTE: My crock pot is very hot, some of you might need to turn it up to high to maintain the temperature Baste every 30-45 minutes. Serve hot.

CHERRY SAUCE FOR HAM
"I often whip up this simple topping to pour over ham at church dinners," Tess Krumm comments. "It's long been a favored condiment there - and at home, too." The concoction's spicy zing comes from the dab of mustard this Fargo, North Dakota cook pours into the mix.

Tips:
- To ensure your ham is cooked perfectly, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. It should reach 140°F (60°C) for a medium-rare ham, 145°F (63°C) for a medium ham, or 150°F (66°C) for a well-done ham.
- If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can check the ham's doneness by inserting a fork into the thickest part of the meat. If the juices run clear, the ham is cooked. If the juices are pink, the ham needs to cook longer.
- To make the cherry sauce, use fresh cherries for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh cherries, you can use frozen or canned cherries. Just be sure to thaw frozen cherries before using them.
- You can add other ingredients to the cherry sauce to taste, such as brown sugar, honey, or a pinch of cinnamon.
- Serve the baked ham with the cherry sauce and your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a green salad.
Conclusion:
Baked ham with cherry sauce is a classic dish that is perfect for any special occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. Whether you like your ham medium-rare, medium, or well-done, this recipe will help you achieve perfect results. The cherry sauce is the perfect complement to the ham, and it adds a touch of sweetness and tartness. Serve this dish with your favorite sides and enjoy!
