Tips:

  • Choose the right salmon: Look for wild-caught salmon that is fresh and firm. Avoid salmon that is farmed or has been frozen for a long time.
  • Cook the salmon properly: Salmon is a delicate fish that can easily be overcooked. Cook it until it is just opaque in the center, about 6-8 minutes per inch of thickness.
  • Use a good quality cooking oil: A good quality cooking oil will help to keep the salmon moist and flavorful. Olive oil, avocado oil, or grapeseed oil are all good choices.
  • Season the salmon well: Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs and spices before cooking. This will help to enhance the flavor of the fish.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking salmon, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the salmon from cooking evenly.
  • Let the salmon rest before serving: After cooking the salmon, let it rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices to redistribute throughout the fish.

Conclusion:

Baked salmon is a delicious, healthy, and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for lunch or dinner. By following these tips, you can cook salmon perfectly every time. Serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.
