Steps:
- 1.Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix the soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic powder and 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside. 2.Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, mushrooms, carrot and onions to skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Stir in the soy sauce mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 1 minute longer. Remove from heat. 3.Place 1 teaspoon of the shrimp mixture in the center of each wrapper. 4.Brush the edges with the egg white. Fold the wrappers in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal. 5.Brush the corners of each wonton with egg white. Pull the corners together and overlap slightly. Press to seal. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with the remaining oil. Bake until crisp and golden, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm.
Tips:
- Use fresh shrimp: Fresh shrimp will give you the best flavor and texture. If you can't find fresh shrimp, frozen shrimp will work, but be sure to thaw them completely before using.
- Chop the shrimp finely: This will help the shrimp distribute evenly throughout the wontons.
- Use a variety of vegetables: This will add flavor and texture to the wontons. Some good options include carrots, celery, onion, and bell peppers.
- Don't overfill the wontons: If you overfill them, they will be difficult to fold and seal.
- Cook the wontons until they are golden brown: This will ensure that they are cooked through. You can bake, fry or steam the wontons.
- Serve the wontons with a dipping sauce: This will add extra flavor to the wontons. Some good options include soy sauce, sweet and sour sauce, or chili sauce.
Conclusion:
Baked shrimp wontons are a delicious and easy appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with a combination of shrimp, vegetables, and wonton wrappers. The wontons are then baked until they are golden brown and crispy. Serve them with a dipping sauce of your choice and enjoy!
