Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken breasts: Look for boneless, skinless chicken breasts that are about the same size. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Make sure the chicken is fully thawed before cooking: This will help it cook evenly and prevent the middle from being undercooked.
  • Use a sharp knife to make the cuts: This will help you make clean, even cuts that will allow the marinade to penetrate the chicken.
  • Don't cut the chicken all the way through: You want the chicken to stay intact while it cooks.
  • Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes: This will help it absorb the flavors of the marinade.
  • Cook the chicken over medium heat: This will help prevent the chicken from drying out.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken: It should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit before you remove it from the heat.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving: This will help the juices redistribute throughout the chicken.

Conclusion:

Barbecue Cheddar Hasselback Chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is flavorful, juicy, and sure to please everyone at the table. With a little planning, you can have this dish on the table in under an hour.
