BISCUIT-TOPPED MEATLOAF RECIPE - (2.6/5)

Biscuit-Topped Meatloaf Recipe - (2.6/5) image

Provided by á-10791

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 eggs
1 cup milk
2/3 cup dry bread crumbs
2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
Rolled biscuits (Bisquick)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients except rolled biscuits. Shape mixture firmly into loaf, 8 x 5 inches. Place in shallow baking dish. Bake 45 minutes; spoon off fat. Prepare rolled biscuits as directed on Bisquick package except - roll into 12" circle. Cut into 4 equal parts; place on loaf, overlapping parts. Brush dough with egg or milk, if desired. Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes.

Tips:

  • Choose the right ingredients. Use high-quality, fresh ingredients for the best results. This includes using real butter, buttermilk, and all-purpose flour.
  • Measure your ingredients carefully. This is especially important for baking, where precise measurements are essential for success.
  • Follow the recipe instructions carefully. Don't skip any steps or substitute ingredients unless you know what you're doing.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing can make the biscuits tough and dense. Mix the dough just until it comes together.
  • Let the dough rest before baking. This allows the gluten in the flour to relax, which makes for a more tender biscuit.
  • Bake the biscuits in a hot oven. This will help them to rise quickly and evenly.
  • Serve the biscuits warm. Freshly baked biscuits are best served warm, slathered with butter and honey or your favorite jam.

Conclusion:

Bayside biscuit loaf is a classic Southern breakfast dish that is easy to make and loved by all. With its simple ingredients and straightforward instructions, this recipe is perfect for beginner bakers and experienced cooks alike. So next time you're looking for a delicious and satisfying breakfast or brunch option, give Bayside biscuit loaf a try. You won't be disappointed!
