  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients prepped and measured. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling during the cooking process.
  • Brown the Beef in Batches: To prevent the beef from stewing, brown it in batches in a large skillet over medium-high heat. This will help develop a nice crust and prevent the beef from releasing too much liquid.
  • Use a Good Quality Burgundy: The type of Burgundy you use will make a big difference in the flavor of your dish. Choose a Burgundy that is bold and flavorful, with notes of cherry, plum, and spice.
  • Simmer Gently: Once the beef and vegetables have been browned, add the Burgundy and beef broth to the pot and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let the dish simmer for at least 1 hour, or until the beef is tender.
  • Serve Over Egg Noodles or Mashed Potatoes: Beef Burgundy Stroganoff is traditionally served over egg noodles or mashed potatoes. You can also serve it over rice or your favorite pasta.
