Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients prepped and measured. This will help you stay organized and avoid any mishaps while cooking.
  • Use a Wok or Large Skillet: A wok or large skillet is ideal for stir-frying as it allows for even heat distribution and quick cooking.
  • Heat Your Wok or Skillet Properly: Make sure your wok or skillet is nice and hot before adding your ingredients. This will help prevent your food from sticking and ensure that it cooks evenly.
  • Use a High-Heat Cooking Oil: Choose a cooking oil that can withstand high temperatures, such as canola oil, vegetable oil, or peanut oil.
  • Stir-Fry in Batches: If you're cooking a large amount of food, stir-fry it in batches to avoid overcrowding the wok or skillet. This will help ensure that your food cooks evenly.
  • Don't Overcook Your Vegetables: Vegetables should be cooked until they are tender-crisp, not mushy. Overcooked vegetables will lose their flavor and nutrients.
  • Add Sauce at the End: Add your sauce or seasoning towards the end of the stir-frying process to prevent it from burning.
  • Serve Immediately: Stir-fries are best served immediately after cooking. This will ensure that they are at their peak flavor and texture.
