Tips:

  • Make sure the puff pastry is cold before using it. This will help it to stay flaky and rise properly.
  • If you don't have a rolling pin, you can use a wine bottle or even a can of soup to roll out the puff pastry.
  • To make the beef filling, use a lean ground beef. This will help to prevent the filling from becoming greasy.
  • Season the beef filling with your favorite spices. Some good options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Don't overfill the pastry pockets. This will make them difficult to seal and they may burst open while baking.
  • To seal the pastry pockets, use a fork to crimp the edges together. This will help to keep the filling inside.
  • Bake the pastry pockets at a high temperature until they are golden brown. This will help to ensure that the pastry is cooked through and the filling is heated through.
