Tips:

  • Mise en Place: As with many recipes, assembling all of your ingredients prior to cooking will ensure a smooth and efficient cooking process. This is especially important for Beefy Manicotti as there are quite a few ingredients in both the filling and the sauce.
  • Use Fresh Herbs: Fresh herbs, such as basil, oregano, and parsley, add a burst of flavor to the dish. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but be sure to use half the amount since they are more concentrated.
  • Don't Overcook the Manicotti Shells: Manicotti shells should be cooked al dente, meaning they should still have a slight bite to them. Overcooked manicotti shells will become mushy and difficult to stuff.
  • Make Sure the Sauce is Thick Enough: The sauce should be thick enough to coat the manicotti shells and hold them together. If the sauce is too thin, it will run off the shells and make them difficult to eat.
  • Bake Until the Cheese is Melted and Bubbling: The manicotti should be baked until the cheese is melted and bubbly. This will ensure that the manicotti is cooked through and the filling is hot.

Beefy Manicotti is a delicious and hearty dish that is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal. With a few simple tips, you can easily make this dish at home. So next time you're looking for a comforting and satisfying meal, give Beefy Manicotti a try!
