8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 t milk
1/2 t prepared horseradish
1/4 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1 c cooked, flaked crab
1 c small cooked shrimp
2 green onions, finely chopped
1/4 c slivered almonds, toasted and ground
1 pkg frozen filo pastry, thawed
1/2 c butter, melted

Steps:

  • Combine cream cheese, milk, horseradish, s&p. Fold in crab, shrimp, green onion and almonds. Keep filo sheets covered with damp towel as you work. Brush 1 sheet with melted butter. Top with another sheet. Brush with butter. Top with a third sheet. Divide into 6 strips and cut in half. Place 1 tsp filling at one end of each strip. Fold into triangles as for a flag. Repeat with remaining sheets and filling. Can be frozed at this point. Place triangles on baking sheet and brush tops with melted butter. Bake at 400 10-12 minutes until golden.
