Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1-2 large cucumber(s) seeded and peeled
1/3 c sour cream
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp dill
1/4 tsp garlic (to taste)
juice from half a lemon (or to taste)
worcestershire sauce (to taste)
salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • 1. Peel, seed, and chop up cucumbers. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. It is best if it's left in the fridge overnight, or at least for a couple of hours to let all the flavors mingle c: Note: Don't add too much garlic because it will overpower the other flavors, sometimes I even leave it out.

Tips for Making the Best Cucumber Salad:

  • Choose the right cucumbers: English or Persian cucumbers are best for salads, as they have a thin skin and few seeds.
  • Slice the cucumbers thinly: This will help them absorb the dressing better.
  • Use a variety of ingredients: Don't just stick to cucumbers and onions. Try adding other vegetables like tomatoes, bell peppers, or radishes. You can also add herbs like dill, parsley, or mint.
  • Make a flavorful dressing: The dressing is what really makes the salad. Experiment with different combinations of vinegar, oil, and seasonings until you find one you like.
  • Let the salad chill: This will allow the flavors to meld together and the cucumbers to absorb the dressing.
