- In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk and extracts. Combine the flour, salt, baking soda and nutmeg; gradually add to creamed mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours or until easy to handle., On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8-in. thickness. - Then cream in eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl mix baking soda, cream of tartar, and flour.

- Drop 1-2" balls on the cookie sheet.
- If you would like, you can flatten the balls with the bottom of a drinking glass that has been dipped in sugar.
