BEST-EVER SPANISH SANGRIA
This is as close as I have found to sangria in Spanish restaurants. No soda here! This is a mulled sangria that really draws out the flavors. Prep time does not include chilling overnight.

Steps:
- Juice citrus (200-300 mL) into a small saucepan; add sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon stick (snapped up) to juice in saucepan. Heat liquid, while stirring, until until steam rises.
- Pour liquid into a heat proof jug or allow liquid to cool first.
- Pour wine into container with brandy.
- Add juice/spice mix, stir. Add leaves, crushed and deveined. Chill 24 hours.
- You can also add any other fruits you like! If I add apples or pears, I like to soak them in the brandy overnight before adding them to the sangria. YUM!

Tips:
- Choose the right wine. A good quality, fruity red wine is the best choice for sangria. Avoid using a wine that is too dry or tannic.
- Use fresh fruit. The fresher the fruit, the better the sangria will taste. Use a variety of fruits, such as oranges, lemons, apples, and berries.
- Add some sweetener. Sugar or honey can be added to taste. However, be careful not to add too much, as the sangria can become too sweet.
- Let the sangria chill. Sangria is best served chilled. Allow the sangria to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Garnish the sangria. When serving, garnish the sangria with fresh fruit and herbs, such as mint or rosemary.
Conclusion:
Sangria is a refreshing and flavorful drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. With a little creativity, you can create a sangria that is sure to impress your friends and family.
