Tips:

  • Choose the right steak: Select a steak that is at least 1 inch thick and has good marbling. This will ensure that the steak remains juicy and flavorful after grilling.
  • Use fresh herbs: Fresh herbs will provide the best flavor for your marinade. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but be sure to use half the amount.
  • Let the steak marinate for at least 30 minutes: The longer you marinate the steak, the more time the flavors will have to penetrate the meat. For best results, marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Bring the steak to room temperature before grilling: This will help the steak cook evenly. Remove the steak from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before you plan to grill it.
  • Grill the steak over high heat: This will create a nice sear on the outside of the steak, while keeping the inside juicy and tender. Grill the steak for 3-4 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  • Let the steak rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, making it more tender and flavorful. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Conclusion:

Herb marinades are a great way to add flavor and moisture to grilled steaks. By following the tips above, you can create a delicious and flavorful herb marinade that will take your grilled steaks to the next level. So next time you're grilling steaks, be sure to try one of these herb marinade recipes. You won't be disappointed!
