JOHN G'S CAESAR SALAD DRESSING

John G's Caesar Salad Dressing image

This is my own variant of the classic Caesar salad dressing, but without using raw egg so that the dressing keeps longer and doesn't spoil so easily. It's also a bit more piquant than the classic version and uses more cheese (because more cheese is always good). To make it more decorative in the bottle, try adding large sprigs of fresh basil to the dressing after shaking it. Makes a nice gift, and fresh basil tastes better, too.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your dressing will taste. This is especially true for the lemon juice, garlic, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Don't over-process the dressing: Over-processing will make the dressing too thick and creamy. Just pulse the ingredients until they are combined.
  • Taste the dressing before serving: Adjust the seasonings to your liking. You may want to add more lemon juice, garlic, or Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve the dressing immediately: Caesar dressing is best served fresh. If you need to make it ahead of time, store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Use Caesar dressing on salads, chicken, or fish: Caesar dressing is a versatile dressing that can be used on a variety of dishes. It is especially good on Caesar salad, of course, but it can also be used on grilled chicken or fish, or as a dipping sauce for vegetables.

Conclusion:

Caesar salad dressing is a classic dressing that is loved by many. It is easy to make and can be used on a variety of dishes. With the right ingredients and a little bit of effort, you can make a Caesar salad dressing that is just as good as any restaurant's.
