  • Thaw the turkey properly: If the turkey is frozen, thaw it in the refrigerator for 24 hours per 4-5 pounds of turkey.
  • Cook the turkey to the proper temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the turkey is cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Make sure the turkey is moist: To prevent the turkey from drying out, baste it with butter or oil during cooking. You can also add moisture to the turkey by placing it in a roasting pan with a cup of water.
  • Let the turkey rest before carving: Let the turkey rest for 15-20 minutes before carving to allow the juices to redistribute.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will have a big impact on the final product. Make sure to use fresh celery, onion, grapes, and nuts.
  • Don't overmix the salad: Overmixing the salad will make it mushy. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
