BLT DOGS
One night I was watching "Throwdown With Bobby Flay" and he was challenging "Pink's" which is a hot dog stand in Hollywood Ca. I was inspired to make my own "gourmet" hot dog. Loving BLT's as much as I do, this recipe is the end result of that inspiration. Now this will make 8 servings if you have side dishes,or 4 servings with 2 "dogs" each. For sides I would suggest your favorite recipes for baked beans, slaw, or potato salad. Submitted to "Zaar" on May 20th,2007.

Tips for Making the Best BLT Dogs
Choose the right hot dog: Use a high-quality hot dog made with 100% beef or a blend of beef and pork. Avoid hot dogs with fillers or artificial ingredients. Perfectly grill the hot dogs: Grill the hot dogs over medium heat until they are cooked through but not overcooked. You can also boil or pan-fry the hot dogs if you prefer. Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your BLT dogs will taste. Use ripe tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and thick-cut bacon. Toast the buns: Toasting the buns will give them a nice crispy texture and help them hold up to the fillings. Assemble the BLT dogs: Spread mayonnaise on the buns, then top with the hot dog, bacon, lettuce, and tomato slices. You can also add sliced cheese, ketchup, or mustard if desired. Conclusion
