The original recipe calls for iceburg lettuce, tomatoes and green bell peppers, but I have made some changes to adapt for our family's taste. Tips:

  • When choosing a blue cheese for your wraps, look for one that is creamy and flavorful. A good option is Point Reyes Original Blue Cheese.
  • If you are using a deli ham, be sure to get one that is thinly sliced. This will make it easier to wrap around the asparagus.
  • To make the wraps ahead of time, simply assemble them and then wrap them tightly in plastic wrap. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • You can also cook the asparagus in advance. Simply blanch it in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and plunge it into ice water to stop the cooking process. The asparagus can then be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • When you are ready to serve the wraps, simply heat them in a preheated oven or microwave until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Conclusion:

Blue cheese ham wraps are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or lunch option. They are perfect for a party or potluck, and they can also be made ahead of time. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a flavorful and satisfying wrap that everyone will enjoy.
