Not only is this kielbasa pasta skillet a real crowd-pleaser, it comes together in just one pan. My daughters are picky eaters, but this reminds them of macaroni and cheese. I toss in their favorite veggies and they gobble it up! It freezes and reheats beautifully, too, so you'll want to fix extras for a fast entree later. -Lori Daniels, Beverly, West Virginia

Tips:

  • Choose the right pasta. Bow tie pasta, also known as farfalle, is a great choice for this recipe because it holds the sauce well and is fun to eat. However, you can use any type of short pasta that you like, such as penne, macaroni, or fusilli.
  • Cook the pasta al dente. This means that the pasta should be cooked until it is tender but still has a slight bite to it. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and will not hold the sauce as well.
  • Use a flavorful sauce. The sauce is what really makes this dish, so be sure to use a sauce that you love. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own from scratch. If you are making your own sauce, be sure to use fresh, flavorful ingredients.
  • Add vegetables. Vegetables add color, flavor, and nutrients to this dish. You can add any type of vegetables that you like, such as broccoli, carrots, zucchini, or spinach.
  • Serve with cheese. Cheese is a classic topping for pasta dishes. You can use grated Parmesan cheese, crumbled feta cheese, or shredded mozzarella cheese.
