ITALIAN BEEF SANDWICHES image

This recipe is for (Time after time) sandwiches.

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 lb beef chuck roast trimmed
3 Tbsp basil dried
3 Tbsp oregano, dried
1 1/2 c water
1 pkg onion soup mix
8 to 10 sandwich buns, split horizonally

Steps:

  • 1. Place roast in slow cooker.
  • 2. Combine basil, oregano, and water pour over roast.
  • 3. Sprinkle with soup mix, cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or until meat is tender.
  • 4. Remove meat shred with a fork and keep warm. Strain broth, skim off fat.
  • 5. Serve meat on rolls, use broth for dipping if desired.
