Tips:

  • Prep your ingredients beforehand: Wash and cut the zucchini, tomatoes, and basil before starting to cook. This will save you time and ensure that everything is ready when you need it.
  • Use a large skillet: A large skillet will give you plenty of room to sauté the vegetables and cook the pasta. This will prevent the food from overcrowding and becoming soggy.
  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions: Be sure to cook the pasta until it is al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. This will prevent it from becoming overcooked and mushy.
  • Add the vegetables and cook until tender: Sauté the zucchini, tomatoes, and garlic in olive oil until they are tender. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the cooked pasta and basil: Once the vegetables are tender, add the cooked pasta and chopped basil to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the pasta is heated through.
  • Season to taste: Finally, season the pasta with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.

Conclusion:

This bow tie pasta with zucchini, tomato, and basil is a quick and easy meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It is also a great way to use up any leftover vegetables that you have on hand.
