Tips for Cooking DRIED FRUIT BRISKET

  • Choose a high-quality brisket. Look for a brisket that is well-marbled with fat and has a nice, even shape.
  • Trim the brisket of excess fat. You want to leave a thin layer of fat on the brisket, but you don't want it to be too fatty.
  • Season the brisket generously with salt and pepper. You can also add other spices, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
  • Sear the brisket in a hot skillet until it is browned on all sides. This will help to seal in the juices and flavor.
  • Place the seared brisket in a slow cooker. Add the dried fruits, water, and wine. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the brisket is fall-apart tender.
  • Transfer the brisket to a cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  • Serve the brisket with the dried fruits and pan juices. You can also garnish it with fresh herbs, such as parsley or cilantro.

Conclusion

This dried fruit brisket recipe is a delicious and easy way to cook brisket. The dried fruits add a subtle sweetness and tartness to the brisket, and the slow cooker cooking method makes the brisket fall-apart tender. This recipe is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal.
