Time 1h10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

2- 10 oz boxes chopped frozen broccoli
2-10 oz boxes chopped frozen spinach
1 envelope french onion soup dry mix
2 c sour cream
8 oz medium cheddar cheese , grated

Steps:

  • 1. Thaw out spinach and broccoli. Squeeze out excess liquid.
  • 2. Add sour cream and French onion soup mix. Stir to mix.
  • 3. Place in casserole dish.
  • 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and place grated cheese on top of casserole. Return to oven until cheese melts.

Tips:

  • Choose the freshest broccoli and spinach: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the taste of your casserole. Look for broccoli florets that are deep green and spinach leaves that are crisp and vibrant.
  • Don't overcook the vegetables: Broccoli and spinach should be cooked until tender but still retain their bright color. Overcooked vegetables will become mushy and lose their flavor.
  • Use a variety of cheeses: A combination of cheeses will give your casserole a richer flavor. Cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan are all good choices.
  • Don't skimp on the seasonings: Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder will all help to enhance the flavor of your casserole.
  • Top with a crispy breadcrumb topping: This will add a delicious crunch to your casserole. You can use store-bought breadcrumbs or make your own by toasting bread cubes in the oven.

Conclusion:

Broccoli and spinach casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It's packed with vegetables, protein, and cheese, and it's sure to be a hit with the whole family.
