BARBEQUED STEELHEAD TROUT
A steelhead is really just a rainbow trout that has been to either one of the Great Lakes or to the ocean for most of its life and has returned to it's birthplace to spawn. This is a twisted way to serve steelhead or any other trout or salmon. It may sound odd, but this is a delicious dish.

BROILED STEELHEAD
I stole this one from a family member, It's super easy to make and so delicious. Steelhead is kind of a cross between salmon and trout. This recipe can easily be substituted with salmon, and can be done on the BBQ as well be sure to use foil and or a bakesheet. Leftovers make great sandwiches!

Tips:
- Choose the right fish. Rainbow trout is a great option for broiling because it's a relatively mild-flavored fish that cooks quickly. You can also use steelhead trout, which is a slightly fattier fish with a more pronounced flavor.
- Season the fish simply. A simple seasoning of salt, pepper, and lemon juice is all you need to bring out the natural flavor of the fish. You can also add other herbs and spices, such as garlic, thyme, or rosemary, if you like.
- Broil the fish at a high temperature. This will help to create a crispy skin and a flaky interior. The exact temperature and cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fish, so be sure to check it regularly.
- Use a broiler pan with a rack. This will allow the fish to cook evenly and prevent it from sticking to the pan.
- Serve the fish with your favorite sides. Roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, and grilled lemon wedges are all great options.
Conclusion:
Broiled rainbow trout or steelhead trout is a simple and delicious dish that can be enjoyed for lunch or dinner. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a meal that is both healthy and satisfying. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy seafood recipe, give broiled trout a try. You won't be disappointed!
