These are great broiled as instructed, but I am also anxious to try them on the grill. Don't skip the sesame seeds--I think they make the dish. Prep time includes time to marinate. Recipe from Fisherman's Express.

Tips:

  • Use large scallops. Smaller scallops will cook too quickly and become tough.
  • Make sure the scallops are dry before cooking. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. If you crowd the pan, the scallops will steam instead of broil.
  • Cook the scallops until they are golden brown and opaque. Overcooked scallops will be tough and chewy.
  • Serve the scallops immediately. They will lose their flavor if they are allowed to sit for too long.

Conclusion:

Broiled scallops with honey-lime marinade is a quick and easy dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The scallops are tender and juicy, and the marinade gives them a delicious sweet and tangy flavor. Serve the scallops with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or pasta.
