BROWNIE BANANA CREAM TRIFLE

Brownie Banana Cream Trifle image

This is a very easy recipe and can be altered using your favorite pudding flavor. The ingredients for the brownies are specific for Ghirardelli brand, alter if using another brand.

Provided by Shelly Zander

Categories     Other Desserts

Time 1h10m

Number Of Ingredients 10

THE BROWNIES
1 pkg brownie mix (i love ghirardelli)
1 egg
1/3 c oil
1/3 c water
PUDDING
3 c cold milk
1 banana
chopped nuts, any variety
chocolate sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Mix egg, oil, and water thoroughly. Add brownie mix and combine until thoroughly moistened. Do not over mix. Bake per package instructions.
  • 2. Combine pudding mix with milk. Mix for several minutes. Refrigerate.
  • 3. In large clear bowl, (or you can use individual clear dessert glasses) cover the bottom with torn pieces of brownie. Top with pudding and sliced banana. Add whipped topping. Repeat 2-3 times, or until you get to the top of your dish. Garnish with chopped nuts, drizzle with chocolate sauce.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe bananas. The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your trifle will be.
  • Use high-quality chocolate. The better the chocolate, the better your trifle will taste. Look for chocolate with a high cocoa content (70% or higher).
  • Don't overbeat the brownie batter. Overbeating the batter will make the brownies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Be careful not to overcook the brownies. Overcooked brownies will be dry and crumbly. Bake them just until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the trifle chill before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and the trifle to set.

Conclusion:

This brownie banana cream trifle is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its layers of rich chocolate brownies, creamy banana pudding, and whipped cream, this trifle is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a dessert that is both delicious and impressive, give this brownie banana cream trifle a try. You won't be disappointed!
