Provided by angelagwalter

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 pound hamburger
1/2 pound bacon or more if you like bacon like I do
1 chopped onion
1 can drained dark red kidney beans
1 can drained butter beans
1 tall can bushes baked beans
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried mustard

Steps:

  • Slice the bacon into about 1" pieces. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the hamburger, bacon and chopped onion. In a large casserole dish, combine the browned meat and onions with the other ingredients and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours. If you double the recipe it will fill a crock pot.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ground beef for the best flavor. If you can, opt for grass-fed or organic beef.
  • Don't overcook the beef. Cook it until it is just browned through, otherwise it will become tough.
  • Use a variety of beans in your casserole. This will add flavor and texture.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different spices and seasonings. You can add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, or anything else you like.
  • Serve the casserole with your favorite toppings. Some popular options include sour cream, salsa, guacamole, and shredded cheese.

Conclusion:
